Tony\'s 12a Turbo on the dynoReply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Search for other posts by Report to Moderator        IP Address Go to the top of this page

not sure what his username is on here, I just pulled his gorgeous gsl 12a-turbo off the dyno.

Setup is megasquirt for fuel, and that wierd distributor + msd on the leading, rebuilt stock turbo with a 2nd gen compressor wheel. he can tell you the rest of the details when he catches this thread

and the only pic i can find of his car, while we were doing the ms install:

thanks, it was a tedious experience due to the lack of concrete information regarding the engine, but we got it sorted out.

very nice.. what was the boost level and fuel used? I have most of the setup for a turbo 12A.. header, turbo (3.0L supra). front cover with oil drain, downpipe (3"), FMIC... what I don't have is an external wastegate and a BOV... if you do some digging in my progress thread for my old car, you'll find pics of the setup.. I'm going 13B now though.

It was...$$ Priceless. Honestly the engine install alone and getting it running (dyno days) was around $3k. This of coarse was over two summers. The phrase "Its not what you know , it's who you know" really came into play. Totally worth it.

hahah, I know all about that... who you know makes a HUGE differance... I have a few people I know who know a lot, and have stuff I needwhich they sell for a reasonable price.. I wish I had gotten my 12A streetport on the dyno.. I figure it would have been about 160-170 HP at 8000 with the webers and exhaust.. about 140-150 in a daily driver form (one which you can hear after you drive)
